Our youngest learners need to feel safe and supported so they can learn with their whole body and all of their senses. Teachers focus on developing supportive, trusting relationships with the children in their care.
Sandpipers Infant Program
3 months - 18 months
Our infant program offers peaceful, loving spaces where babies can explore and feel secure. Teachers speak in gentle tones, the daily pace is unhurried and the decor is homelike. Each child in our care is an individual to be nurtured with affection and respect. As is customary for Montessori environments, every detail is selected with the child’s whole development in mind.

Individualized care
Sandpipers caregivers plan accordingly for each child every day by taking into account the child’s individual stages and needs. Babies do not all nap at the same time, eat in the same manner, or reach developmental milestones together. With individualized care, we respect their personal/specific needs and communicate with you daily about their schedules with our Whats App group.
Throughout the day, you will see infant teachers talk and sing with your child during feeding, diapering and playtime. This interaction helps your baby begin to understand language and conversation. Our staff pays close attention to all aspects of your child’s development.
Sandpipers Infants Daily Schedule
* Sandpipers staff implement your schedules from home and eventually prepare the children for their transition to the toddler program at 18 months.
- 7:45am-9:00am: Arrival to School & Babies choice activities
- 8:00am – 9:00am: Morning snack
- 9:00am – 9:30am: 1st diaper routine
- 9:30am – 10:05am: – Morning group circle and song time – children’s programming
- 10:05am – 10:20am: Prepare children to go outside
- 10:20am – 11:20am: Outdoor time; stroller walk or backyard fun
- 11:20am – 11:30pm: Prepare for lunch; washing hands
- 11:30pm – 12:30pm: Lunch
- 12:30pm – 1:00pm: 2nd diaper routine
- 1:00pm – 1:45pm: – Group song and story time – Children’s programming
- 1:45pm – 2:15pm: Snack (flexible, depending on child’s nap schedule/wake up time)
- 2:15pm – 2:45pm: 3rd diaper routine
- 2:45pm – 3:15pm: Children’s programming
- 3:15pm – 3:30pm: Prepare children to go outside
- 3:30pm – 4:30pm: Outdoor time; stroller walk or backyard fun
- 4:30pm – 5:00pm: 4th diaper routine
- 5:00pm: Departure. Sandpipers closes for the day. See you again soon!
